[WEEK 4] - Devlog

Finishing Stage: Refining Gameplay and Visuals

The finishing stage is the final step in game development, focusing on refining all aspects of the game to ensure an optimal player experience. During this phase, gameplay elements are thoroughly tested to ensure mechanics such as character movement, enemy interactions, and mission completion work seamlessly. Developers also enhance visual details, including textures, lighting, and particle effects, to create a more vibrant and immersive underwater world. Additionally, character and enemy animations are fine-tuned to feel natural and align with the game's underwater fantasy theme.

Optimization and Final Testing

After refining gameplay and visuals, the next step is optimizing the game's performance. This includes reducing asset file sizes, managing memory usage, and testing compatibility across various devices or platforms. Developers also conduct playtesting by involving test players to gather feedback on bugs, level balance, and the overall gaming experience. The feedback is then used to make final revisions before the game is released. The finishing stage ensures that the game not only runs smoothly on a technical level but also delivers a satisfying and enjoyable player experience.
