Simple Prototype 

 A simple prototype is the initial step in game development to test the core gameplay concept without using final assets or complex mechanics. In this project, the simple prototype was created to validate basic mechanics, such as the movement of the Mermaid character, attacks, and interactions with the underwater environment. Additionally, essential elements like enemy reactions (fish hypnotized by the Siren) and the collection of antidote items were implemented in a basic form. This approach allows developers to evaluate whether the designed gameplay is engaging and responsive before progressing to the next stages. Feedback from the prototype serves as a foundation for improvements and the development of additional features.

Asset Creation 

 After the prototype successfully demonstrates the potential of the gameplay, the next step is to create visual assets to replace placeholder elements in the game. The assets include 2D models of main characters like the Mermaid, Siren, and enemy fish, as well as environments such as coral reefs, caves, and underwater ruins. The textures are designed to create a captivating underwater aesthetic, complemented by lighting effects that mimic sunlight penetrating the water. Additionally, animations are developed to bring life to the characters and enemies, such as the smooth movements of fish fins or the magical hypnosis effects of the Siren. All assets are crafted to align with the underwater fantasy theme and enhance player immersion in the game.
